Escala join Friday’s lineup!

Park Proms are excited to announce that Escala will join us as our opening act for night one!

Escala are an electronic string quartet from London. They rose to fame in 2008, when they made it to the final in Britain’s got talent. At the semi-final of BGT, Escala performed an instrumental version of “Live And Let Die” by Sir Paul McCartney, and this was described as the best performance of the week. 

Escala is made up of Victoria Lyon & Honor Watson on the violin, Stephanie Benedetti on the viola and Helen Nash on the cello.

They have played all over the world and performed with many artists including Katherine Jenkins, Brian May, Richard Ashcroft and Pink Floyd. To name a few performances, the group have appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show, on the Sky Sports 2008-09 campaign, and at the James Bond film premiere of Quantum of Solace in London!

As Ambassadors for Help for Heroes, they have performed at the Help for Heroes Rugby Union challenge match at Twickenham Stadium and more recently at the inaugural Cricket for Heroes match at The Oval.

They will perform just for you, at Broadlands, before you see The Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra, Aled Jones & Laura Wright.
