It is with a heavy heart and deep regret that we must announce the cancellation of all of our scheduled events, including Park Proms, and the end of operations for Podium Event Group Limited with immediate effect.
In the midst of the pandemic we were amongst many high-profile event organisers forced to reschedule our events due to COVID 19 and then suffered further due to a lack of support from the government.
As a small south-coast business, we couldn’t commence the build of our concert site to risk being closed down at the last minute. The funds received to date from ticket sales has already been spent on artist deposits, suppliers, venues and marketing leaving us with limited cashflow, putting a huge financial strain on the company. A number of our own suppliers have also gone into administration, which put further burden on our financial situation.
Despite the best efforts of everyone the financial setbacks caused by the pandemic has meant that it is no longer viable for us to continue trading.
We would also like to pay thanks in particular to Broadlands Estate who have shown tremendous support as our host venue. Events at Broadlands Estate are run by independent promoters and this announcement does not affect any other scheduled concerts/events at that venue.
To those who have been let down by this situation, we are deeply sorry. Ticket holders for any cancelled event who purchased tickets by credit or debit card (including charge and pre-paid cards) you may be able to recover the amounts paid from your card issuer. In the first instance, please contact your card issuer to ascertain whether you are able to recover any amounts from them. If tickets were purchased anywhere else, please contact your point of purchase.
The company has taken steps to begin a liquidation process and all parties affected by the cancellation of Park Proms will be contacted by the liquidators shortly
